Akumal vacations are amazing because of the warm tropical year-round climate. It’s so different from the harsh, cold, and wet winters of North America and Europe. Monthly temperatures in Akumal vary only by a few degrees across the year. The temperature highs range from 27^oC to 32^oC (82F to 90 F) throughout the year. This is great because it means that if you like it hot, Akumal is perfect all year round! Most days there’s at least 7 hours of sunshine and often as many as 10 or 11 hours.

During your Akumal vacation, this is your time to relax.  And there are plenty of opportunities for you to do just that.  From waking up to the chirping of the tropical birds, you can relax with your coffee on your private balcony soaking up the morning sun.  After a leisurely breakfast sampling tropical fruits, you can relax poolside on one of the sunbeds.  And take occasional dips to cool off during the heat of the day.

After lunch, you head to the rooftop terrace with your favorite book to relax in one of the Mexican hammocks, with views of the Caribbean ocean to the east and the Mayan jungle to the west.  It won’t be long before you find yourself dozing off.

In the late afternoon, perhaps you take a relaxing stroll along the jungle pathway to Playa Xaac. Or to Eco Sirenis, where you can take a self-guided tour around the nursery featuring indigenous plants.

After dinner, you head back up to the rooftop terrace as the sun is setting.  And relax in one of the jacuzzi hot tubs, perhaps with a cocktail, or glass of wine, while watching the sunset behind the Mayan jungle.

Finally, return to your comfy apartment before nestling into your luxurious king-size bed for a wonderful night’s sleep.

Such as Akumal Bay (where you can swim with turtles), XpuHa (the locals’ favorite), and Chamicos on Soloman Bay (a hidden gem).
